Remarkable stones from around the world are the norm in my studio. “The Reading Girl” was carved from a 4,300 pound block of Carrara marble I acquired in Italy, while the boldly colored “She’s a Complicated Girl” was made from Chinese pipestone, and the diminutive “Green Girl” I cut lovingly from Verdite, a stone favored by sculptors in Zimbabwe.
Blue Calcite, Chinese Fluorite, Banded Onyx, Rainbow Obsidian, Alaskan Jade – these beautiful stones are each in their own right a collector’s specimen. I have put together a group of the right size, shape, clarity and color of stones to awe almost anyone.
I am a stone carver, and I enjoy plying my craft on stones I carefully choose for their unique colors and qualities.
